This policy covers every game Caprico publishes — Fill Up, PiratePop, Shiny Bricks and Just Color Sort — and this website. None of them has accounts, log-ins, ads or trackers. We never ask for your name, your e-mail or anything else that identifies you. The only thing a game sends us is anonymous gameplay statistics — which level was played, how it went — so we can see which levels are too hard and which ones nobody finishes.
Who we are
The games are made and published by Caprico Coding AB, a company registered in Sweden, which is the data controller for everything described here. You can reach us at play@caprico.se.
What the games send
While you play, the game sends us anonymous gameplay events — for example that a level was started or completed, and how it went. Each event also carries some technical context: a random installation ID (see below), platform and operating system, game version, device language and region, and basic device characteristics such as screen size.
The events describe what happened in the game and nothing else. They carry nothing you have written and nothing that points back at you as a person.
The installation ID
The first time a game runs it generates a random ID and stores it on the device. It lets us tell "one player who played 30 levels" apart from "30 players who played one level each". It is not derived from your device or any account, and it is not shared with anyone. Delete the game — or clear the site data in a browser version — and the ID is gone for good; a fresh one is generated if you install again.
What we never collect
- Name, e-mail address, phone number or postal address.
- Contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
- Precise location. We only see your approximate country and region; the IP address itself is not stored.
- Advertising identifiers. There are no ads in our games and no ad networks in them.
- Anything from other apps or websites. We do not track you across services.
Your progress
Levels solved, high scores and your settings are stored locally on your device. None of it is uploaded to us, and it does not travel between your devices.
Other games from us
Each game has a button that shows our other games. The list is fetched from our own server, and opening it is counted as a gameplay event like any other. The store links go to Apple's App Store, whose own privacy policy applies from there on.
Where the levels come from
Some of our games download their levels from our server the first time you need them and keep them on your device so the game works offline. Nothing about you is sent along with the request beyond what any web request carries.
Where the data goes
The events go to our own analytics service, hosted on Google Cloud. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook, advertising SDKs or any other third-party tracker, and we never sell, rent or trade the data. Google acts only as our hosting provider.
This website
capricogames.com is a set of static pages served by Google Firebase Hosting. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If you pick a language on the site, that choice is kept in your browser's local storage so the site can open in the same language next time; it is never sent anywhere. Like any web server, the hosting provider keeps short-lived access logs.
How long we keep it
Anonymous event data is kept for as long as it is useful for improving the games. Because it is not tied to a person, it is not deleted per player — there is no player to delete it for.
Legal basis, and your rights
Under the GDPR our legal basis for collecting anonymous gameplay statistics is our legitimate interest in understanding how the games are played and making them better. Since the data is not linked to your identity, we cannot look up "your" data on request — we have no way to know which rows would be yours, and under Article 11 of the GDPR we are not required to collect extra information in order to find out.
Children
Our games are suitable for all ages. We collect no personal data from anyone, children included, and the games contain no ads, no in-app purchases and no links out to social networks.
Changes to this policy
If a game starts collecting something new, we will update this page and change the date at the top before the new version ships.
